Jared Smith proudly announced earlier today the codename for the upcoming Fedora 17 operating system, due for release next year.
Without any further ado, the codename for the Fedora 17 release will be Beefy Miracle, which was originally proposed for the upcoming Fedora 16 (Verne) operating system, due for release next month on November 8th.
Believe it or not, there’s a website especially created for the “Beefy Miracle” codename, for the Fedora operating system. Well, congrats to them for supporting the codename, as “Beefy Miracle” is now a winner!
In other news, while the Beta release of the upcoming Fedora 16 operating system was made available for testing a few days ago, the final version will see the light of day on November 8th, 2011.
At the moment we have no information about the release schedule for Fedora 17, but we will announce it as soon as we know it.
