Google Voice users have been long waiting for the possibility to enjoy support for MMS with the service, and they should get ready for having the wide support for the feature available.
The first steps on this road were made, and pictures and other multimedia messages can now be received from Sprint subscribers, Ilya Frank, senior software engineer, Google Voice, notes in a blog post.
Users of Google Voice will be able to have a look at the multimedia attachments on their mobile forwarding phones, while also being able to see it in the email inbox as long as they have the text to email forwarding option enabled in the Google Voice settings.
Soon these multimedia messages will be displayed in the Google Voice inbox as well, Ilya Frank explains.
Only messages from Sprint can be received at the moment, but more carriers will offer support for it soon.
