The Samsung Galaxy A06 has been spotted in various certifications across the globe, hinting at an imminent launch. As we approach the release date, the phone’s color variants have been revealed.
Similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A05, this device is expected to maintain a budget-friendly price tag. The phone’s model number, SM-A065F or Galaxy A06, was previously spotted on the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and Trade’s website.
This affordable Samsung smartphone has secured a TKDN value of 39.6 percent. In addition to Indonesia, the Galaxy A06 has also appeared in certifications from FCC (USA), SIRIM (Malaysia), BIS (India), Bluetooth SIG, and Geekbench.
Release Date and Colors
As a reminder, the Galaxy A05 made its debut in October 2023. If Samsung follows its annual release cycle, we can expect the Galaxy A06 to launch around October 2024. Leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) recently shared renders of the Samsung Galaxy A06 on X.
According to the leaker, the Samsung Galaxy A06 will be available in several color options: Gold (Yellow), Sky Blue (Silvery Blue), and Black.
Design and Features
Quoting 91Mobiles, there are subtle design changes on the successor to the Galaxy A05. The device features a striped pattern with a more compact body. We also notice a waterdrop notch and more angular edges.
According to Google Play Console, the Galaxy A06 sports an HD Plus display with a pixel density of 300 PPI. The smartphone is likely to retain the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset. However, we hope for some camera upgrades.
Some predicted features of the Samsung Galaxy A06 include:
- RAM: 6 GB
- Internal storage: 128 GB
- Operating system: Android 14
- Software: One UI Core (Android Go)
As a reference, the Samsung Galaxy A05 was priced between Rp 1.5 million and Rp 1.9 million. We expect the Galaxy A06 to remain competitive in the Rp 1 million price bracket.
