Guild Software announced the release of a new update for its cross-platform Vendetta Online MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) 3D space combat game for all supported operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, Android, and iOS.
According to the release notes, Vendetta Online 1.8.362-365 is a massive, four-in-one update that adds a great amount of new features, including the addition of energy-draining weapon firing “Power Seeker” NPCs for strike forces, updated tab-complete for mobile devices to work exactly like on PCs, better support for gamepads, as well as support for automatic joining of new characters on the standard general chat, nation chat and help chat channels.
“VR is a pretty important part of our long-term goals, and this also requires good gamepad/controller support in the menu interface, since one is basically “blind” when wearing a VR headset. But, beyond this, we’re the game is also starting to appear more frequently on Android-based platforms with “10-foot” experiences (console-like), such as Smart TVs, set top boxes, and other hardware,” said the Guild Software developers in the announcement.

In the end of the announcement, Guild Software lays down the plans for the next major release of the game, version 1.9, which promises to bring features like new expansions of NPC behaviours, station defense improvements, kill-on-sight concepts improvements, as well as broader complexity to the combat system.
