Guild Software had the great pleasure of announcing this past weekend the general availability of yet another maintenance release in the Vendetta Online 1.8 series of the popular and cross-platform MMORPG game.
According to the release notes, Vendetta Online 1.8.371 is a quite modest point release that re-adds the Furie-related missions, which had been removed from the base game a while ago. With this addition, it is very important to mention here the fact that Furies will not target players anymore when they are in the No-Fire Zone.
Moreover, the game was updated to apply temporary KoS ramifications of Furie actions to the owner of the respective Furie. Among other changes, we can notice that the Microsoft Windows XP is no longer a supported platform, and Leap Motion drivers were updated.
“We were able to bring back the Furies, in part by creating ramifications for those who command their NPC subordinates to do things that run counter to factional laws. In this way, you will receive Temp KoS for telling a Furie to attack a locally-friendly newbie in guarded space, etc,” developers explained.
CAPTCHA support implemented for non-premium subscribers
Another major change was added as part of the Vendetta Online 1.8.371 release, and that is the implementation of CAPTCHA support for non-premium subscribers, as well as for those who were logged in for more than 6 hours. Users have five minutes to solve the CAPTCHA or they will be automatically kicked offline.
As usual, all Vendetta Online players can now update their installations to build number 1.8.371, and new users can download a free trial for either Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, Android, or iOS operating systems or purchase a license from the project’s website.
